Rosalie’s Apple Tree by Ann Garcia

“Each step closer became heavier with a hope he was afraid to embrace. It was a hope he didn’t want to mistake as his future.” · excerpt from Rosalie’s Apple Tree, a love story unlike any other

“Such a sweet story. I enjoyed this book so much, especially the psychological themes and thoughts Ann Garcia took care to dive into so beautifully. A wonderful love story between characters who are facing very real-life hardships and are portrayed in a relatable way. Easy to read, captured my attention, and thought-provoking.” · Leslie – Amazon Review – Rosalie’s Apple Tree

Love Me Like October by Ann Garcia

“He’d been invited to dance with a poet, but his mind slipped through her words and scattered across the floor.

While their music played, she knelt to pick up his pieces and then strung them into a necklace she’d wear forevermore.” · excerpt from Love Me Like October

“Years since first flutters of knowing had passed into darkness and doubt and into light again, leading to this moment of calm. This moment of fulfillment. This moment of we under Fairytale’s canopy.” · excerpt from Fantastical for Real

“What a lovely book! I thoroughly connected with, and enjoyed Ann’s words of love, nature and self. The cover is beautifully designed as well. It would look amazing on any coffee table.” · Mandi – Amazon Review – Fantastical for Real

Welcome! I’m Ann Garcia and River Blossoms Press & Art Studio is the online home for my ever-evolving creative life. I’m a proud member of Generation X, and I’m proof that you’re never too old to try new things!

A number of years ago, a novel fell into my head without warning or expectation, so I spent a year writing it before diving into editing and learning about publishing. Along the way, I discovered that I love photography, design, watercolor, and digital art. And after 10 years of creative growth (essentially all of my 40s), I finally published that novel (yay!). Now I’m looking forward to learning where my chronic creativity will lead me.

I have a Ph.D. in psychology and a creative drive that never rests. My poetry and fiction, which are highly introspective and evocative, primarily explore nature, self, and love. Michigan is my home, and I draw inspiration from waters and woodlands within the Great Lakes region of the USA and my life as a wife/artist/mother/scientist.

In addition to the books listed here on my website, I’m a contributor in publications by Humana Obscura, Sunday Mornings At The River, and The First Line Poets Project, among others.

I’m an active artist on Instagram where I share my photography, poetry, and my newfound creative outlets, watercolor and digital art. Find me on Instagram @solaceinraindrops or in the nearest garden where I’m bound to be taking photos of blooms, bees, or slime mold while holding off two corgis and trying not to hear my kids yelling, “Mom!”

Thanks for visiting and reading this bit about me. I’m wishing you the best today and tomorrow. Be well and be you!
