Welcome to my watercolor portfolio! Click a photo below to be transported to my Spoonflower shop. Thank you for visiting! – Ann Garcia, Artist & Surface Designer

The Florette Collection combines watercolor with sketchy colored pencil to capture the messy boisterousness of spring leaves and blooms. Currently available in 4 colorways: purple, pink, mint, and orange.
Inspired by early autumn rainfall and the passing of summer, Vera grew from a washy watercolor session in which I intentionally painted shapes suggesting leaves and flowers without attempting to control the outcome. Textured overlays add depth to this monochromatic collection, which is currently available in 3 colorways: gray-blue, gray-brown, gray-green.

meet the artist

I’m happy you’re here! I’m Ann Garcia, a watercolor & mixed-media artist and surface designer. I create intuitively, which means that I paint without a plan, welcoming the unexpected and allowing instinct to guide my creative decisions. In a world where digital and artificial art are increasingly commonplace, I happily guide my brushes on paper, get messy, and welcome whatever may happen. My work is full of beautiful imperfections, just like nature, bringing subtle honesty to the end product. Full of imagination with a hint of the unexpected, my artwork aims to inspire feelings of curiosity, peace, and joy.

Michigan is my home, and I draw inspiration from waters and woodlands within the Great Lakes region of the USA.

I’m an active artist on Instagram where I share my intuitive art and process. Find me on Instagram @anngarcia.art  and @anngarcia.design or in the nearest garden where I’m bound to be taking photos of blooms, bees, or slime mold while holding off two corgis and trying not to hear my kids yelling, “Mom!”
